I have tried running Phantasmagoria in both dosbox. Nm, figured it out! was mounting the cdrom drive incorrectly >.> I did however need to apply the 1.1 Phantasmagoria patch (floating around on the web), otherwise I would get noise during video playback I'm not a fan of dos so i have zero i sea how to use it, help? I can't run setup it tells me its can't be run from dos. I got the download from myabandoneware which is supposed to be setup for dosbox and it starts up just fine w dosbox in windows xp, but i keep having a mouse speed issue so I'm trying it on just dosbox without the VM and so far only know how to mount the file. I've been using virtual box and can only run some of phantasmagoria in a VM using virtual box and dosbox together but everything I read says I should just be able to run it on my mac within dosbox. When I try and start the game, c: sierra/phcd I get alot of configuration and nothing happens. So if you haven’t Crossover yet, then get it up here and buy the program or if you want to test it first, for the 14 days trial.I think I have everything installed right. The game works great in Crossover, so that program is advised to use. We who loved it back then already have our copy. You might not like it for the plot or the relatively easy playthrough, but if you’re into some history and acknowledge the ‘so bad it’s good’ theory, then by all means, play it and enjoy it. Phantasmagoria was a technological leap forward back then, and even though it looks and feels downright silly today, with it’s cheesy acting, horrible script, eye-crunching ‘real-time graphics’ and such, it is still a milestone in gaming’s development, and should be seen as such.
